We i.e. me and my team started this website www.pharmamedonline.com to solve the problems of the students which comes during the studies of different courses of pharmaceutical science and other allied medical field like nursing, paramedical and medical electronics.

We will try to give all information, study materials and previous years solved question papers of different universities. INTRODUCTION TO PHARMACY

Pharmacy – Pharmacy is a art, practice or profession of preserving, compounding (preparing), and dispensing drugs. The person who is involved in this profession is known as Pharmacist.

Drug – A drug is any substance that, when inhaledinjected, consumedabsorbed (skin) or dissolved under the tongue causes a temporary or permanent physiological or psychological change in the body. A drug or medicine is a chemical substance used to treatcure(relieve)prevent, or diagnose a disease or to promote well-being.

Scope of Pharmacy

  1. After completion of the course D.Pharm. or B.Pharm., a candidate can go for higher studies like B.Pharm. or M.Pharm. respectively.

  2. After obtaining D.Pharm. or B.Pharm. and registering with the respective state pharmacy council, a candidate can open his/her own Pharmacy/Medical store to sell medicines.

  3. Can work as analyst in food and drug administration laboratories.

  4. Can work as Pharmacist/Hospital drug coordinator in Govt./Private hospitals and other Govt. Organizations.

  5. Can work in educational institutions (Teaching/Non-teaching)

  6. Can work as marketing representatives for Pharmaceutical companies.

  7. Can work in production as well as in laboratories in pharmaceutical companies.

  8. Can become Health inspector or Drug inspector or Medical transcriptionist.

  9. Can go in field of research & development as scientist.

INTRODUCTION TO NURSING

NursingNursing is a noble profession comes under healthcare sector. The duties of nurses are –

  • take care of patients suffering from various diseases
  • assisting Doctors in surgery and treatment.
